“12:05” Platform missed the chance to make a good first impression, says PM Mickoski

The “Conversations for the Future at 12:05” platform missed the opportunity to leave a positive first impression because it underestimates citizens by claiming they vote for VMRO-DPMNE simply because they have no other choice, assessed Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski Sunday evening in an interview with the national broadcaster MRT.

Responding to a reporter’s question regarding SDSM leader Venko Filipche’s claims that members of the “12:05” platform were paid by the Government and work for Mickoski, and that there were attempts to take over SDSM through the platform, the PM denied their claims.

“First, I will comment on the initial point, that there is no alternative. I regret, once again, that even this alternative, which presents itself as an alternative to the opposition, underestimates the people and insults them by implying they are shortsighted. It essentially says: ‘You support Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE only because you have no choice.’ I think that, in itself, is, how should I put it, something of an oxymoron in this entire situation. But that is their problem,” said Mickoski.

The PM pointed out that the first impression is particularly important in politics and in life, and that, in his view, the new political group missed the opportunity to make a different impression with its debut.
