Dragan Kovachki was VMRO-DPMNE’s proposal for a new interior minister in the new caretaker government, which begins January 3rd, under the leadership of Interim Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski.
Yesterday, however, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said he needed to check whether Kovachki was entitled under the constitution to be in that position because he was a military man.
“Mickoski’s new proposal is a military man, and according to the constitution it should be a civilian one. So let’s wait to consult and see,” said Zaev.
Yesterday Mickoski did not disclose the name of the proposal, but it is already known that it is Kovachki.
“I will not announce the name. We will wait a little longer,” Mickoski said.
