The passenger arriving from Dubai with flu-like symptoms has tested negative for the
coronavirus at the Skopje-based Clinic for Infectious Diseases on Tuesday. He has
been diagnosed instead with influenza Type B.
The passenger arrived to the country a few days ago following a week-long stay in
Dubai and had flu-like symptoms. All measures as for a coronavirus patient had
been undertaken.
The Health Ministry urged all those coming from critical areas to abide by the
recommendations and if feeling some symptoms, call the Public Health Institute, not
wander in hospitals. The health system, the ministry underlined, is prepared and has
sufficient beds, masks, medical clothes and suits.
A passenger from Italy who was admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Skopje
on Monday night has also tested negative for coronavirus, the Ministry of Health
said. The patient had a mild clinical picture, no elevated body temperature and is
now stable.
