The Ministry of Education and Science has published a draft version of the Concept for developing a distance education system in primary and secondary schools in the country. The preparation of the document was initiated by the changes in the manner of realization of the educational process on a global level due to the pandemic caused by the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 virus.
“The concept should ensure uninterrupted education of students in primary and secondary schools as of September 1, 2020, by adjusting the process of the new situation and reality,” says the Ministry of Education and Science.
The Ministry of Education and Science prepared the Concept for distance learning along with the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, the Bureau for Development of Education, the Center for Vocational Education and Training, the State Education Inspectorate and the State Examination Center, in cooperation with USAID, UNICEF, the Macedonian Center for Civic Education (MCEC), teachers from primary and secondary schools and higher education institutions in the country, as well as several experts in the field of education and ICT.
The Ministry of Education and Science states that all interested parties can contribute to the preparation of the highest quality content of this document by submitting proposals and suggestions to the e-mail address: [email protected] no later than July 10, 2020.
