Police officers tried to stop a freight motor vehicle Mercedes on the Radovish-Stip highway, near the junction for Negotino.
The driver continued to drive for another kilometer after which he stopped and fled the scene.
After searching of the vehicle, the police found 36 migrants – 11 from Pakistan, 9 from Afghanistan, 7 from Syria, 5 from Bangladesh, 2 from Iran and one each from Iraq and Turkey.
