Gruevski gets 1.5 years in prison, Janakieski suspended sentence in “Violence in Centar” case

Former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski is sentenced to one and a half years in prison and former Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski is given a one-year suspended sentence for inciting violence that occurred during protests outside the municipal building of Centar in June 2013.

Judge Dushan Josifov convicted and imposed suspended sentences of nine months to Aleksandar Trajkovski, Darko Stojchevski, Trajche Petkovski as perpetrators of violence outside the building of Municipality of Centar on July 7 and 10, 2013. The sentences will not be executed if they do not commit a new crime within 3 years.

Defendants Daniel Trifunovski and Igor Boshkovski got suspended sentence of 6 months imprisonment which will not be executed if they do not commit a new crime within two years.
