Modular hospitals will be set up in Kumanovo, Strumica, Gevgelija and Struga by the end of the year, said Health Minister Venko Filipche on Saturday.

“The setting up of modular hospitals will begin this month and should be completed by the New Year. Kumanovo and Strumica are the most critical cities with regards to capacities and that is why they have been prioritized,” Minister Filipche told reporters in Prilep.

According to him, the country has over 100,000 rapid COVID-19 tests at disposal.

“We have already distributed the 20,000 tests that we received as donation, yesterday we got additional 13,000 from the Norwegian Defense Ministry, along with our procurement and the ones provided through the World Bank. Therefore, we have over 100,000 rapid tests at disposal,” added Filipche.

According to him, there are sufficient seasonal flu vaccines in all cities.

“The free vaccines against seasonal flu are available in all cities. The schedule has been made for the coming weeks,” said Filipche.
