At Wednesday’s joint press conference with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zakharieva, Macedonia’s special envoy for Bulgaria Vlado Buchkovski said that they had constructive talks.
“We had a tête-à-tête meeting for more than an hour. We acknowledged that trust had been violated. I personally express my satisfaction that friendly Bulgaria considers my appointment as an additional effort to restore the lost trust. In the period ahead, we should be more proud of what we have done,” said Buchkovski.
He stresses that neither he nor Minister Zakharieva can change the common history.
“But we can change things in infrastructure, capital projects, stronger cooperation in education and science and a way to bring the two nations closer,” said Buchkovski.
