613 new cases, 25 deceased in past 24 hours

Out of 1,837 COVID-19 tests carried out in Macedonia in the past 24 hours, 613 new cases were registered, 688 patients recovered and 25 died, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

Most of the new cases were registered in Skopje-204, followed by Kavadarci-38, Kumanovo-35, Tetovo-29, Prilep-27, Ohrid-27, Gostivar-24, Veles-24, Bitola-23, Shtip-20, Gevgelija-19, Struga-19, Negotino-15, Sveti Nikole-15, Berovo-12, Kochani-11, Kichevo-11, Strumica-9, Kriva Palanka-8, Radovish-8, Resen-7, Delchevo-4, Probishtip-3, Valandovo-2, Makedonski Brod-2, Pehchevo-1, and Vinica-1.

The Public Health Institute registered 688 recovered patients from all over the country, the press release reads.

Twenty-five patients passed away, eight from Skopje (aged 63, 80, 72, 72, 53, 81, 60 and 71), two from Kumanovo (86 and 87), one from Prilep (77), two from Veles (68 and 61), three from Bitola (54, 67 and 57), one from Kavadarci (68), three from Gostivar (60, 75 and 59), one from Gevgelija (71), one from Strumica (47), one from Radovish (53), one from Sveti Nikole (75), and one from Resen (84).

Since the onset of the epidemic, Macedonia has registered 73,638 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 49,414 patients have recovered. The death toll has reached 2,121. At the moment, there are 22,103 active cases across the country.
