Any person who has read more than five pages of history knows that there is no Macedonian identity, separate from the Bulgarian one before 1944, Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov said on Sunday, reiterating that Bulgarians and Macedonians spoke the same language.
Karakachanov said that Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has done nothing for three years, and when the time came for a solution it was already too late.
“You cannot bite the hand that supports you and that is extended to you with a fraternal nobility in the literal sense, fraternal because we are one people and speak the same language. Whatever they tell me and explain about the identity, the identity that was very ancient. “Every normal person who has read more than five pages of history related to Macedonia knows that such an identity does not exist separately from Macedonian, separately from the Bulgarian before 1944,” Karakachanov said.
