Majority of the 15,000 Macedonian nationals who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine by the end of March are being re-vaccinated in Belgrade and Nis during the weekend, whereas free inoculation continues at sites across Serbia, MIA reports from Belgrade.

Sources from the vaccination site at the Belgrade Fair say about 8,000 foreign nationals are to be vaccinated today, with further 5,000 on Sunday.

“The country’s leading people have made a remarkable diplomatic move. Serbia extended a hand of friendship to the region, erased the borders and showed that we are all fighting a common enemy. At the end of March, more than 22,000 foreign nationals were vaccinated in Serbia, and over 12,000 at the Belgrade Fair. Twelve weeks have passed since then and it is time for re-vaccination,” said Dr. Zoran Bekic, director of the vaccination point at the fair.
