Head of Organization of Employers of Macedonia Angel Dimitrov expects a new wave of layoffs in the Macedonian economy from October.

“State aid for payment of salaries for February and March was only to overcome the crisis by August. Now the uncertainty is so great that we do not know further how many jobs and orders there will be from Europe,” Dimitrov.

He called on the government to form another set of favorable economic measures in the autumn. In the past, due to the coronavirus crisis, there were 30 percent layoffs in the textile and 60 percent in the leather industry.
