Talat Xhaferi addressed the European Parliament contrary to the Constitution, and it’s right to say there were three sessions, at two of which he spoke in Macedonian, at the third one he spoke in Albanian. I won’t seek responsibility because I expect the Parliament Speaker himself to explain what happened there, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told reporters during a visit to Vinica on Saturday.
The Parliament Speaker, Zaev pointed out, is one of the main guardians of the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia, and I expect all of us to be an example of respect for the Constitution.
“Talat Xhaferi addressed the European Parliament contrary to the Constitution, and it’s right to say there were three sessions, at two of which he spoke in Macedonian, at the third one he spoke in Albanian, provoked by individuals from neighboring Bulgaria who indicated they would make unification of our languages which is certainly not true at all. We have similar, but different and internationally recognized languages,” Zaev explained.
