We clearly stand on the message of joint performance and mutual support in these local elections. The local elections are a choice of a person and that is why we give the citizens a wide range of candidates for mayors and councilors, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on Thursday.
“It is clear the unity of the coalition at the central level which is transformed into a coalition at the local level which with its specifics in the local elections where a person is elected is a democratic review of this ruling set. It is logical that somewhere where we can support each other in the first round, the coalition partners should be supported and we are being supported. Where it cannot be done, we will support each other in the second round. Therefore, it is clear how we will perform everywhere in our country,” said Zaev in response to a question during today’s marking of the beginning of construction of the Ljubljanska bridge in Skopje.
According to Zaedv, the large number of independent lists in the local elections shows that there is democracy in the country. He believes that some of those lists will not have representatives in the local government, and some will get a few.
