The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) today again urged the MPs to stop the political games and to vote on the amendments to the Law on Labor Relations, which should declare Sunday a non-working day.

“We urge the MPs to count and recalculate once again what they are losing and what damage they are doing to the employee, and at the same time what damage they are doing to themselves. We call on all those who think badly of the worker to stop playing political games and fighting on the backs of those who vote for them,” reads today’s press release issued by SSM.

Amendments to the Labor Law are stuck in the Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Policy. Once they have passed this Commission, they should be voted on in plenary session. The proposal for Sunday to be a non-working day should be implemented from October 1st.
