If there is no agreement on snap elections, the streets are the opposition’s natural habitat

Snap general elections are demands of VMRO-DPMNE and the wish of almost two thirds of the citizens living in Macedonia. Clearly expressed in the previous local elections when we said that those elections are a referendum on the rule of Zoran Zaev and the citizens said what they had to say, 44 municipalities for VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition, and 16 for Zoran Zaev. On the other hand, it is urgently needed at the moment because Macedonia is in a severe political crisis, said VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski on Sitel TV’s news.

Nikoloski adds that there are two ways to get to the early general elections.

“There are two ways to do that, one is to have an agreement between the political parties within the Assembly. And I still hope that happens. Here’s their chance to get a date next week. And if they do not get it then we will have to sit down and talk about a date for early elections. And if they do not agree on that matter, the streets are always the opposition’s natural habitat,” Nikoloski stressed.
