There will be no electricity restrictions after the New Year, there will be enough electricity, and the rise in prices will not be as some sow fear among citizens, said Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Coordination with Economic Sectors and Investments Fatmir Bytyqi in a New Year’s video interview with the MIA news agency.

Bytyqi does not want to go into specifics or predictions of how much the price of electricity will increase after January 1, but stresses that as a government they have done everything in their power to ensure that the possible increase in prices is not as some announce.

“I know for sure one thing that will happen, and that is that we will provide enough electricity to the citizens, not only in January, but also in the future, which means that the electricity needs will not be endangered. This means that there will be no restrictions. I can guarantee that. I know that as a government we did everything in our power to ensure that the increase in prices after January 1 is not as high as some suggest,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
