The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) between 1pm and 2 pm on Friday will stop the traffic on Dimitrie Chupovski Street, where the Organization of Employers and the Chamber of Commerce are to express their serious intention not to deviate from the requirement that the minimum wage be raised up to 18 thousand denars, SSM president Darko Dimovski told Telma TV.
SSM’s calculations showed that with the new methodology offered on Wednesday by the employers, the minimum wage would be 16,164 denars, which is unacceptable for them. If their demands are not accepted at 4 pm, they plan to start a general strike.
