Macedonian historians have every right to defend our Macedonian views. I do not see how we will achieve progress with such a strong Bulgarian position, which has one maxim – Macedonia can enter Europe but Macedonianism does not, says former Ambassador to Bulgaria Marjan Gjorchev.
Gjorchev stressed that progress will be made in the negotiations with Bulgaria only if Skopje makes it clear that it does not deviate from its principles, which are also part of the European value system.
“If we behave like that, we will convince the Bulgarian side that we are equal in the dialogue and that we have our demands that they should respect, specifically regarding Goce Delchev. We should not allow interference in the internal affairs of the country,” Gjorchev said.
