The cost of living in February compared to January, 2022 has increased by 1 percent, and retail prices by 1.2 percent. In February this year, compared to February last year, the cost of living was higher by 7.6 percent and retail prices by 8.6 percent, the State Statistical Office announced Monday.
An increase in the cost of living indices in February this year, compared to the previous month, was registered in cigarettes by 6.6 percent, fresh and chilled vegetables, except potatoes and other root fruits by 4.3 percent, coffee, tea, cocoa for 2.7 percent, wine by 1 percent, fresh and chilled fruits by 0.8 percent, spirits by 0.7 percent, bread and cereals, fish and seafood, oils and fats by 0.6 percent, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery products by 0.5 percent, food products, not mentioned elsewhere by 0.2 percent, according to the SSO.
