A non-existent company in Skopje, with the help of forged documents, forged ISO certificates, signatures, applied and in the period from 2018 to 2022 has probably won about 90 tenders for installation and servicing of elevators, mainly from public institutions, which provided budget funds.

This is a case that was explained at today’s session by Vladimir Georgiev, member of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), from where an initiative for criminal prosecution will be submitted to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje, as well as a warning notification to the Government, and notify all competent authorities in the elevator procedures if that company shows up.

The SCPC stresses that it  is not allowed to reveal the name of the company, but express hope that in this case the Public Prosecutor will act expressly. This company was connected with two other companies from Skopje, which also work on installation, servicing and maintenance of elevators, because the manager of this company is the real owner of these two other commercial entities.

As Georgiev explained, the case in the SCPC is based on a report of allegations of suspected use of forged ISO certificates from a company for servicing, repair and installation of elevators, in order to win a tender at the PHI General City Hospital in Skopje.
