Government to allocate MKD 120 million for refugees from Ukraine

At today’s 30th session, the Government instructed the Ministry of Finance to provide funds in the amount of 120 million denars for organizing and providing hotel accommodation and additional services for the citizens of Ukraine who would arrive in our country as refugees from war zones.

These funds, according to the Government, will be transferred to the Office for General and Common Affairs, which is in charge of carrying out these activities.

At today’s session, the Government approved the amendments to the Law on Social Protection for payment of a one-time allowance for the beneficiaries of guaranteed minimum assistance, to mitigate the consequences of the economic crisis and price shock caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the energy crisis. , in the amount of 1,000 denars for the months of March, April and May 2022, for the most vulnerable categories of citizens.
