Telekom stops broadcasting Russia Today TV channel

On the recommendation of the Government,  cable and internet operator Makedonski Telekom stopped broadcasting the Russia Today TV channel.

“We inform you that according to the Government Decision, and that decision reflected via the Decision of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, retransmission of this channel is no longer allowed, ” reports Makedonski Telekom in an announcement to its users.

Interruption of Russia Today’s retransmission is happening in all EU countries. Union members have banned the broadcast of the Russia Today TV channel and the online news agency Sputnik.
