Inflation eats away the standard of the citizens. According to statistics, the growth of inflation is higher than the growth of wages and pensions. The reality of every citizen is far scarier than the statistical gymnastics of the government. In just a year and a half, the prices of fuels have increased by 70%, electricity by 30%, heating by 15%, the price of bread has increased by 110%, and all other basic groceries have increased by 30-50%, reads VMRO- DPMNE’s press release.

The party points out that Macedonia is sinking into poverty.

“Over 35% of citizens are at risk of poverty. The government of SDSM and DUI, instead of taking care of the people, is taking care of how to turn its officials from swindlers to millionaires. The economy is collapsing. Due to the wrong economic policies and measures of the government, Macedonia is at the bottom in the region in terms of GDP growth. Macedonia in 2021 has a growth of only 4% of GDP, which is much lower compared to countries in the region,” said the opposition party.
