Starting April 13, 2022, the sale of sunflower oil will be limited to a single package per person in trade facilities. It is recommended not to allow the sale of sunflower oil for cooking in large quantities, i.e. quantities packed in large packages, announced Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi on Thursday.
The Ministry of Economy submitted on Wednesday a notification to all traders informing them that due to the significant increase in the purchase of edible sunflower oil by domestic buyers in relation to the regular consumption of edible sunflower oil in the household, as and foreign buyers, disrupting the regular supply on the domestic market.
In order to maintain the current situation on the domestic market with edible sunflower oil in stores and to avoid the occurrence of unnecessary shortage of sunflower oil for retailers, the limit per buyer will be valid until May 31, 2022.
