We inform that the information about the change in the way the Republic of North Macedonia is named or marked in NATO, is a tendentious speculation intended to damage the reputation of both the country and the Alliance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted after the media announced that the RNM code in NATO is replaced by NM (North Macedonia).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that, according to NATO rules, which were adopted long before our membership, for protocol purposes the countries are marked with their full names, according to the English Alphanumerical transcription, except when it is technically impossible.
