The Association of Employees in the Gambling Sector responded in a letter to the proposed changes that provide for gambling to take place exclusively in luxury five-star hotels, as well as the proposal to distance business facilities 500 meters from educational institutions.
“Gambling is a legal, economic sector that operates in accordance with positive legal regulations. It employs almost 10 thousand people, indirectly helps between 54 to 100 thousand other jobs, each year contributes at least 280 million euros to the state budget. Companies and we employees are constantly part of various humanitarian and donor activities, which shows top social responsibility. Our employers are representatives of world-renowned and EU companies that implement the highest standards of professionalism,” reads their association’s press release.
