At Tuesday’s session, the Government decided to lift all remaining COVID-19 restrictions, with the exception of the mandatory wearing of protective masks in healthcare homes, pharmacies, public transportation and care centers for the elderly and people with disabilities. The decision of the Government follows the conclusion of the Commission for Infectious Diseases on the stable epidemiological situation in the country, adopted on April 27.

The Commission for Infectious Diseases recommended the abolition of all restrictive measures to deal with COVID-19, except for the mandatory wearing of masks in health facilities, pharmacies, public transport and nursing homes. The Commission urged the citizens to follow the recommendations for personal protection and hygiene, such as frequent hand washing, disinfection and keeping distance.

The Commission also reminded that vaccination remains the best and most effective measure to protect the health of the population.
