A hierarchical liturgy for the establishment of “liturgical and canonical communion of the two sister churches” started in the Cathedral of St. Sava in Belgrade this morning, i.e. a liturgy of reconciliation, officiated by the Serbian Patriarch Porphyry and the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia.
The liturgy is being held after the Synod of the MOC-OA accepted on Wednesday the invitation of the SOC for holding a reconciliation liturgy.
At a joint liturgy of the leaders of the MOC-OA and the SOC and bishops of the two churches in the “St. Sava” church in Belgrade, the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia HH Stefan In his address thanked the SOC for welcoming the decision of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
