The Commission for Infectious Diseases (CID) spokesperson Dr. Zlate Mehmedovikj informed about Wednesday’s meeting of the Commission at a press conference.

The spokesperson says that two topics were discussed, namely COVID-19 and the possible epidemic of monkeypox.

“I can say that the Commission has shown concern because we have the spread of monkeypox in the world beyond those endemic pools such as Central Africa and West Africa. The world as well as the World Health Organization, and all other relevant institutions that monitor infectious diseases also show some degree of concern about how monkeypox is spreading,” Mehmedovikj said.
