The government measure that “froze” the prices of basic food products is coming to an end. As of Wednesday, the markets will sell bread, flour type-400, sunflower oil for eating, permanent milk, fresh meat and delicacies, as well as cheese and cottage cheese at a new higher price.
Frozen margins and VAT exemption on food will cease to apply after May 31.
The Government is currently analyzing whether there will be a new set of measures or whether any of the existing measures will be continued, but there will be no price freeze.
