President and Prime Minister of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and Kiril Petkov will soon pay a visit to Paris to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, who will present a proposal to lift the Sofia veto on Macedonia and start membership talks in the EU, BGNES reports, citing sources in the member parties of the Bulgarian government coalition.
According to Bulgarian news agency sources, the visit was announced at a session of Bulgaria’s National Security Advisory Council on Friday, focusing on Sofia’s relations with the country.
At the Council session, a representative of the Bulgarian Government informed that he had received a promise from Sofia from Paris that “all of Bulgaria’s demands will be included in the negotiating framework for Macedonia and that their implementation will be personally guaranteed by Macron”.
