The parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition announced that it will submit a bill that would exempt food products from VAT by the end of the year, i.e. by December 31, 2022. Additionally, the opposition MPs will demand VAT for liquid fuels to be five percent by the end of this year.
The proposal of the opposition comes on the eve of the termination of the measure for zero percent VAT on basic food products, which the Government adopted in March, and is valid until Tuesday, May 31.
Starting Wednesday, says VMRO-DPMNE, we are expecting a big wave of price increases due to the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
