The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) will submit an initiative to initiate criminal proceedings against the Basic Prosecutor’s Office – Skopje against the former Secretaries General of the Government, Dragi Rashkovski and Muhamed Zekiri, who according to the SCPC during their official duties abuse of official position and authority, in connection with theshort-term agreements made by the General Secretariat with persons from abroad.
The SCPC HeadBiljanaIvanovska said that the legal basis for establishing this case was the announcement in the media that the Government for the needs of the General Secretariat to perform specific engagements based on the short-term agreements hired a large number of individuals out of the staff, and were paid fees, which in just one month amounted to over 37 thousand euros, i.e. over millions of euros for 2019 and 2020.
