According to the latest published data of the State Statistical Office, in the first quarter of 2022, the active population in the country is 811,197 people, of which 691,498 are employed and 119,699 are unemployed.
The activity rate in this period is 55.3, the employment rate is 47.1, while the unemployment rate is 14.8.
For comparison, in the same period last year, the number of employees was 793,121, and the number of unemployed was 150,843.
Or, in one year in the country there are fewer employees by 101,623, and among the unemployed the number is lower by 31,144.
The employment rate this year is the same as in the first quarter of last year, 47.1 percent, and the unemployment rate decreased from 16 percent last year to 14.8 percent in the first three months of this year.
