The Drug Trafficking Unit, Sector for Illicit Trafficking of Drugs, Weapons and Dangerous Substances at the Criminal Police Department, in coordination with the Veles Police and the Customs Administration, yesterday intercepted an international transport of narcotics and seized about 67 kilograms of marijuana, with a value of about 250 thousand euros.
The police officers from the Department of Drugs at the Veles Police on Tuesday were coordinated and around 15:30 at the Otovica toll station, in the direction of Skopje, a Volkswagen Turan vehicle with Skopje registration marks, driven by D.J. (46) from Skopje, was stopped.
“A specially made space-bunker was discovered in the floor of the vehicle, including the floor of the luggage compartment, as well as the tank of the vehicle itself, which were filled with several packages of marijuana in an amount of about 67 kilograms,” said the spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, Susana Pranjikj-Talevska.
