The chairperson of the VMRO-DPMNE Commission for Education and Science Vesna Janevska indicated on day two of the political fair organized by the opposition party that it has been proven for a long time that the cooperation of the central government with the municipalities is not at the appropriate level.
“Now it is proven that the cooperation of the central government with the municipalities is not at the appropriate level and I would say it is not correct, and in certain moments it is completely obstructive. I will start with the block grants, in this terrible economic crisis when the prices of electricity and firewood are rising, today I found out that it has reached up to 5,000 denars, they do not have enough time to cover these utilities, and let’s not forget that the municipalities have to pay them from these block grants and student transportation for both secondary and primary education. The mayors are forced to redistribute their own municipal budget funds for these basic needs so that the educational process can take place, otherwise it would have to be stopped,” said Janevska.
