In the next ten days, we expect a reduction in the prices of basic food products, especially those listed in the Decision on determining the margins from 5 to 12 percent. And in the bread section, the price reduction has already started. We expect a reduction in the prices of milk and dairy products in the next 3-4 days, and a reduction in the prices of meat products by the end of next week, Macedonian Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi said on Thursday.
As Bekteshi stated after the press briefing , even greater price reductions are expected as of December 1, if the raw materials remain at the same import prices.
“An additional decision will be made tomorrow which will expand the list of activities that will be supported by the Government according to the requirements of the Economic Chamber and the chain of the meat industry will be covered by subsidized electricity,” the economy minister said.
