The internal procedure for a possible oversight in the Onishchenko case states that the last level of the security check was not respected and the NATO partners were not consulted before giving a positive opinion. The ring and the individual who put the signature have been located and responsibility will be taken, the director of the National Security Agency Viktor Dimovski informed on Saturday.
The security check before issuing a positive evaluation for issuing a passport to a person is done at several levels and requires the signatures of ten members of the National Security Agency, explained Dimovski.
“We found that the last level that was supposed to consult with NATO partners gave a positive opinion, but it did not. The ring and the individual who put the signature have been located and responsibility will be taken,” said Dimovski, after the session of the Parliamentary Commission for Supervision of the work of the National Security Agency (ANB) and the Intelligence Agency (AR).
