One in five students or 21.3 percent were in a situation where a professor addressed them with nicknames such as “little girl”, “honey”, “doll”, “baby”. One in four students, or 26.2 percent, witnessed a teacher sharing sexual or gender stereotyped jokes, and 15.6 percent of students were given comments about their physical appearance after which they felt uncomfortable and sexualized. As many as 88.5 percent of students do not know where they can report sexual harassment that happened at UKIM.

This is shown by the research “The perception and experience of students at UKIM with sexual harassment”, conducted by the students of the International Intercultural Studies in cooperation with the association “Mladinskimirovenhab” and the “Friedrich Ebert” Foundation – Skopje.
