The Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bojan Marichikj, stressed on Monday that membership in the EU will be achieved the fastest only if there is a clear expression of political will for strong reforms without improvisations on the part of the countries of the Western Balkans, but also a clear political will on the part of the member states of The Union.
“Only if there is a clear expression of political will for strong reforms on the part of the countries of the Western Balkans and all governments, and that without improvisation, and on the other hand, for it to have an effect and for those reforms to really have political weight, there must be a clear political will on the part of the EU member states, also honestly and without improvisations, to reach the point of membership as soon as possible, said Marichikj at the conference on “Intensified cooperation: The renewed Berlin process and the future of regional cooperation in South-East Europe” organized by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
