Germany’s MFA warns citizens to be cautious when traveling to Macedonia due to bomb threats

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin has warned German nationals to be alert and cautious when traveling to North Macedonia due to bomb threats, Deutsche Welle reported on Saturday.
Citizens are advised to be informed by reliable local and social media regarding the current situation and to follow the recommendations of local authorities and security forces. -Bomb threats against public institutions and facilities have recently been registered in the capital Skopje. They initially targeted schools and government facilities, but hotels and other non-government establishments have since been affected. Finally, the evacuation of the international airport in Skopje was necessary, where the traffic had to be temporarily stopped, reads Germany’s MFA warning.
