Up to 2.4 million passengers traveled through Skopje and Ohrid airports in 2022

TAV Macedonia announced that Skopje International Airport and St. Apostle Pavle Ohrid, recorded a 70% increase in passenger traffic in 2022, compared to 2021, and compared to 2019, passenger traffic is at minus 11%, i.e. 89% is the recovery rate.

Last year, the two airports served 2.4 million passengers and there were a total of 19,448 flights.

The most frequent destinations from the Skopje airport in the period January – December were: Istanbul (the two airports IGA and Sabiha Gokcen with 13.1% market share), Basel Mulhouse (6.3%), Vienna (6.2%), Zurich (6, 2%), Antalya (4.2%), Dortmund (4%), Munich Memmingen (4%) and Cologne (3.1%).

The top 5 countries with direct flights were: Germany (24% market share); Turkey (19.1%); Switzerland (14.2%); Sweden (6.9%) and Austria (6.2%).
