Teams of the Customs Administration seized 60 kilograms of marijuana, intended for the European market, at the Deve Bair border crossing on Saturday. This prevented an international channel of illegal drug trade. The value of drugs on the illegal market is estimated at 240 to 300 thousand euros.
“A team from the Department of Operations from the Department of Control and Investigations, during a customs control of a car with Romanian license plates driven by Romanian citizens, found the intoxicating drug marijuana with a total weight of 60 kilograms. The drugs were found in specially made bunkers in the vehicle, where 64 packages of marijuana were hidden,” reads the press release.
