A total of 48,913 tourists visited the country in December 2022, of which 40.8 percent were domestic, and 59.2 percent foreign tourists. They made 93,567 overnight stays, where 42.5 percent were made by domestic tourists, and 57.5 percent by foreign tourists.
According to the data of the State Statistics Office, in 2022 the number of tourists increased by 38 percent compared to 2021. Among domestic tourists, there is an increase of 5.7 percent, and among foreign tourists, the increase is by 8.8 percent. At the same time, the number of overnight stays increased by 23.1 percent, with a 3.7 percent increase among domestic tourists, and a 70.7 percent increase among foreign tourists.
