Easter liturgies are being held in all Orthodox churches in the country this morning on the occasion of the biggest Christian holiday, Easter – the resurrection of Christ, the day when Jesus Christ proved his divine power and rose from the dead.
In the Cathedral “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Skopje, where since this morning there are a large number of believers, the liturgy is presided over by the head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archdiocese Mr. Stephen.
The Resurrection of Christ was announced at midnight by towing the bells in all the churches of the Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archdiocese.
This year, for the first time, the Holy Fire of Grace was brought directly from Jerusalem from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
