When I was reading, preparing for this interview, I found a lot of information that Bechtel & Enka, as a company, is considered one of the most non-transparent in the world. They work all over the world, on large commercial contracts, but they are considered one of the most non-transparent companies that absolutely insist on the secrecy of their contracts. And another data that says that their projects always end with 40 percent more than the agreed amount, Sladjana Taseva from Transparency International said in a TV interview about the US-Turkish consortium to which the Government entrusted Corridors 8 and 10D.
Taseva says that the question is “what have we pledged for this”, that is, what has been agreed along that highway”.
