2,030 believers will leave N. Macedonia on pilgrimage this year, which is more than twice the number of last year, when 919 believers were in the holy places, Irsel Yakupi, general secretary of the Islamic Religious Community, told the media.
“The number was filled according to the quota set by the Ministry of Hajj of Saudi Arabia and this year there will be 2,030 believers from the country who will travel to the holy places. The believers will travel from June 16 to June 21 on charter flights and they are of different ages, including children,” Yakupi added.
