Any consent or statement by the employee for overtime work, related to the project for the construction of corridors 8 and 10d is unconstitutional and will therefore be contested before the Constitutional Court, stresses the president of the Construction Union Ivan Peshevski.
In an interview with Radio Free Europe, he says that the Federation of Trade Unions will challenge the written agreement with which the construction workers would voluntarily accept to work more than 40 hours a week.
As Peshevski explains, the agreement expressed by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy is unconstitutional.
“As a worker you cannot agree to work that much, even if you want to. So there is no price that can pay you to work 72 hours a week with any consent per se. It is unconstitutional and again we will challenge those consents, statements or whatever the workers signed,” Peshevski noted.
