DUI leader Ali Ahmeti from the Kumanovo village of Sopot said Sunday that thanks to the pragmatism they chose today, the Albanian language and the Albanian flag are official and inviolable in this country.
“When we started the activity, we started it to make Albania, but the policies changed and we chose pragmatism, not fanaticism. We chose the Albanians in Macedonia to be state builders, to be masters and to stand up for their own country, and today this flag is official and inviolable. Here is the blood of hundreds of soldiers, patriots and Albanians. The Albanian language is official and inviolable,” Ahmeti said, reports TV21.
DUI on Sunday commemorated the massacre of 64 Albanians from this village in 1944 in front of the memorial complex in Sopot. Ahmeti stressed that Albanians did not owe anyone to remain buried and isolated outside Europe.
